Acting Prime Minister John Rosso who is also the Immigration Minister has clarified the deportation of various foreigners on the grounds of Visa abuse.
He provided this commentary today after a foreigner posted a video on social media few days ago accusing Rosso on coming down hard on foreigners.
Rosso said in Lae Roundtable WhatsApp Group:
βI have deported 180 foreign national for abuse of Visa. And up to July, in a space of 12 months, just 2 weeks ago, another 101 foreign nationals were deported for similar Visa abuse in my capacity as Immigration Minister.
Acting PM Rosso further urged foreigners to observe the laws in place. And not to abuse it.
βWe welcome foreigners but I ask all to follow the law. All I ask is to follow the law.

Acting PM Rosso was also surprised to see many PNGeans asking him to slow down on his hard line policy.
