Air Niugini Managing Director Alan Milne, when announcing the heavily discounted Independence Flash sale, said “This is the first time for ANG to trial such heavily reduced domestic airfares and we encourage Papua New Guineans to take advantage of this exciting promotion. Seats are limited and will be sold on a first come first serve basis.”

The Independence Flash Sale will be available for bookings from the 14th to 16th September, with travel permitted only within the month of October this year.

  1. Why only PNG Nationals ?

We are trying to get some people up to Vanimo on a Church aid work project, but held back on the high cost of domestic air travel. We can get up to POM on some good deals but onward travel to Vanimo is very expensive.

    1. Hi David,
It’s quite shocking to hear that expats are not eligible. Don’t understand the rationale behind. Only the authorities at the Air Niugini would give a valid explanation.

    1. Collin, I bought one few hours ago on domestic POM-GKA one way at K44 plus tax and surges add up to K130. I may not be applicable travelling beyond October.

      1. So Admin, could you tell me how…? Off course there’s something about K44… I tried but couldn’t find any spacial when trying to book a flight…
