Israel carried out a rare daylight airstrike targeting a high-level meeting of Iran’s leadership. According to reports from Reuters and CNN, the strike happened at 8:15 a.m., focusing on a gathering that allegedly included Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Masoud Pezeshkian, and senior military officials.
Unlike previous nighttime attacks, this strike was carefully timed after months of surveillance and intelligence gathering. Officials say the operation aimed at leadership figures rather than infrastructure.
It is still unclear whether Khamenei was present during the strike or moved beforehand. Iran later fired missiles in retaliation at several countries, most of which were intercepted. The event has raised serious concerns about regional stability and internal security within Iran.
