PAITA LAUNCHES MAJOR PROJECTS IN KOTTEC LLG: RING ROAD, POLICE STATION.
Finance Minister and Finschaffen MP Hon Rainbo Paita on Tuesday this week launched several key impact projects for Kottec Local Level Government area of Finschaffen District.
The main impact projects include the Kottec LLG Ring Road and the Kottec LLG Police Station.
Minister Paita said the Kóttec LLG Ring Road Project will cover ;
Kottec ring road (Bonga – Wareo Zaferio Yunzaing New Cut) as feeder road to the main Lae-Finschhafen Highway which is currently under construction.
“ This road project is covered under the Connect Finschhafen Policy through the Finschhafen District Five Year Integrated Development Plan capturing the Marape-Basil Government of Connect PNG Policy. “
Meanwhile Minister Paita reemphasized that , this is the 4th ring road launching, with few more roads to be launched before the entire Finschhafen District will be linked to main Lae-Finschhafen Highway to open up all rural areas for services development and economic development.
“So far so good. Hube LLG is next to be launching its Development agendas.
Minister Paita was accompanied by Nawaeb MP Hon Kennedy Wenge, Raicoast MP Hon. Peter Sapia and Transport Minister & Goilala MP Hon William Samb during the Launching.
Furthermore other projects launched during the occasion included:
1. D.light student Solar Lights for nearly 17,000 students in the District.
2. A New Police Boat
3. SME Program for Kottec LLG
4. Chainsaws for all Kottec Wards aad Communities
5. School Uniforms for Students and Teachers support.
The event was graced at the end with a Fireworks display that lasted 5 Minutes.
Minister Paita thanked Ward 10, Ward 9 and Ward 1 Councillors for their support during the occasion including the Kote LLG President.
Minister Paita echoed that slowly but surely, one step at a time Development will reach all parts of Finschaffen District under his Leadership.
He reminded the people that his work will be focused with the theme “wok bai tok” and that this is the road to economic independence under pangu paiti’s theme brand “ pangu save long rot.”
