Wabag to Kompiam to Baiyer road upgrade and Sealing Project gets Approved by National Planning under ADB road infrastructure program – By John Thomas Pundari CMG, MBA.
(Post by Charlie Tikaro) | 25th October 2019. The Wabag to Kompiam Station then to Baiyer road will be upgraded and sealed once and for all.
The announcement came after confirmation from Works Secretary David Wereh and Asian Development Bank.
During a small but significant ceremony, the National Planning Minister Hon. Sam Basil today met with Public Accounts Committee Chairman and Member for Kompiam Ambum Sir. John T Pundari confirmed and signed off on the project including the outstanding Takawas to Monokam road Sealing.
Minister Sam Basil said that the Marape Steven government is committed in opening economic opportunities through road infrastructure in the country and connecting Wabag via Baiyer to Madang highway is a important development that will boost the economy and livelihood of the rural population living along the corridor of this major impact road development.
The Minister also thanked the Honouble member for Kompiam-Ambum district for his never ending commitment and leadership over the two major projects.
Sir. John thanked the Planning Minister, the staff and Department of Works including the ADB management for their collaborative efforts in approving the projects.

My view on Australia recruiting 10,000 soldiers and giving them Australian citizenship is a very positive development for Australia and PNG. Simply because we have 30,000 young people finishing school every year and most of them are unable to find jobs.
