FIRST CONNECT PNG MEETING FOR 2021 UNDER MARAPE-BASIL GOVERNMENT
MEDIA RELEASE – 18th February 2021.
The Connect PNG High Level Project Steering Committee Meeting was held today at the office of the Department of National Planning and Monitoring.
In attendance was Chairman and Secretary for Department of National Planning & Monitoring Koney Samuel, Secretary for Works David Wereh, Secretary for Transport Roy Mumu, Secretary for Department of Lands & Physical Planning Benjamin Samson, and Acting Secretary for Department of Agriculture & Livestock, Daniel Kombuk.
There was also representation from the Department of Prime Minister & National Executive Council, Department of Finance, PNG Dataco, PNG Power, and Transport Sector Support Program.
The Connect PNG Programme is a Government signature Policy, which will see the Government provide an enabling environment for significant economic growth. Connect PNG will build roads and maintain existing ones that will connect areas in the country that have key economic activities.
