You have to be smart to find your customers, to do your sales, to grow your SMEs. Do you go and ask other bigger businesses to stop selling a product you bought from them so you can sell yours? All these Women SMEs grew their businesses from their hard work. They didn’t ask us to stop selling. We spend time to develop a quality fabric.

We spend time developing a market and create a demand for these products so both you and us can sell. No one is going to come help you make money! We have to understand this. It’s a business. And ours involved selling in retail and bulk since day 1. You can’t stop my team and I from selling bulk kolos just because you fear we will steal your customers. – Annette Sete, Maku Gifts, Lavagirl.

Thank you all for your comments. I think you all forgot that my business involves selling Fabric, and Kolos.
We sell in bulk and retail! That’s Maku Gifts core business since day one! Na Ino nau tasol mipla advertisim bulk kolos.
Our sales comprises;
fabric:
2yards
10yards
Bolts
(Bulk fabric is in 10 yards and bolts or many 2yards and we have special pricing for our resellers)

Kolos: Bulk kolos 12 or more (special pricing) and retail in all our shops.

We pride our business on quality. We invest a lot of time, money and energy in quality. And we have customers that would buy quality.
We have groups of customers we sell to:
1. Retail walk ins
2. Reseller of fabric
3. Reseller of kolos
4. Those who buy fabric and sew and sell
5. Those who buy fabric and sew and sell, but also buy bulk kolos to resell.

Fabric designs

If the design is exclusive to us then we make more kolos and only sell kolos.

If the design has been on the market in 2yards cut pieces then we make less kolos to supply our bulk/reseller customs. That means we sell more fabric to others and only three bolts are made into kolos for our bulk resellers. (We know our fabric customers be selling too so the kolos from fabric we sell are limited).

We have customers who love our style of garments and our style of sewing. So just because you bought fabric from us does not mean you stop us from selling kolos or in bulk.

And just because you buy kolos from us and resell doesn’t give you the right to stop us from selling bulk kolos.

We’ve always sold bulk kolos and we’ve always advertised that.

We can’t sell you the kolos and then get you the customers too.

Then you’re not in business. You’re looking for charity hand out.

You buy fabric you sew in your style, you have your customers and your market who like the way your sew and your garments.

Just like the next seller. And just like us. There is no competition.

We have customers who buy our bulk kolos. We will always sell bulk kolos and kolos because we have a growing number of retail shops and resellers.

Guys, we need to realize that mine is a business. And yours is a business. I’m not in competition with you. If anything, my products are supporting your sales too. But I’m not gonna come and help you make your profit. You have to be smart to find your customers, to do your sales, to grow your SMEs.

Besides we have completely different markets/customers. We already developed a great product that you can make money from. We spend time to come up with great designs.

This is a huge market and everyone of us can make $ if we are smart about our sales, do our home work, find our customers, etc.

Look at people like Elaine Akua of Misis kolos. She buys fabric from us and makes Misis kolos. She trains others to make Misis kolos and she’s also making and selling Misis kolos to her customers.

She also makes Misis kolos for us. See Nivan Tailoring.

They buy from us and do their printing. They sew their style of garments for themselves to sell.

Shirley Wane in Hagen. She buys kolos to resell, fabric to sew her style and she sells to her customers across PNG & Australia.

Keryn in Goroka buys and resells our kolos but also buy fabric for her style of kolos.

SHIRLS in Lae buys kolos and fabric. She sells our style of kolos and also make her own style.

Flavia in Namatanai buys our fabric and does her style and sells to her customers across the country.

They all grew their SME businesses from hard work. And from spinning their products and their sales to grow.

They bought from us and resold. They buy bulk from us every new stock.

They know their market, and they have their customers.

All these Women SMEs grew their businesses from their hard work. They didn’t ask us to stop selling.

No one is taking over your market. And we do not need to justify why and how we do business. But I’m doing it here for your sake.

Do you go and ask other bigger businesses to stop selling a product you bought from them so you can sell yours?

Like I said above:

My business was built on fabric and kolos. Bulk fabric and bulk kolos are part of our product offer.
