Be a Blessing to Others – Be the Person that God has Placed You to Be

When God blesses you, be the blessing to others. When someone is in a need, be that person that God has placed you to be. We don’t know what the future holds for each one of us. Tomorrow might be his/ her time. Read below the story of Sepu Samson, a second year student of the University of Papua New Guinea who helped a total stranger in need.

Our Future is Predestined by God that nothing can ever destroy it.

Today I met a 1st year female student here at the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG). It was around 5:26 pm when I somehow bumped into her sitting down in front of New Lecture Theater (NLT) friendless, with just a reading book in her hand and a container of water.

At first I walked passed her and about 10 meters away I then felt that something wasn’t right just by the way she sat down. So I turned back and walked towards her though I wasn’t really confident to talk to her. I introduced myself to her and she also did the same.

I asked her if she was OK. With a very soft and shaky voice she replied ” I wish I could tell you everything but I can’t because you are just a total stranger to me”.

I told her it’s alright and you can tell me anything you want to tell me. She held back for some time but then I told her to speck freely to me. Her response got me so emotional. She said, “it’s almost a month now and my parents haven’t sent me anything yet.

I’ve tried to call and text them but none of them have responded to my message so far. Being a SOMS is just so hard. Life is just so bias at most times.

Sometimes I sleep with hunger just because I’m too shy to ask my friends for help. They do want to help but I don’t feel well at the end of the day. Now that I have three major assignment that needs to be printed and handed in, I can’t afford it”.

All this words really broke my heart and I had bitter tears rolling down my cheek. I could literally feel her pain.

I tried to comfort her and make her feel that God is always taking care of her regardless of all this struggles in life. Her tears meant so much to me

To make it short, I had K270 in my wallet (which I was supposed to buy my printer Inks). Without hesitation, I gave her K200 because she’s a woman and she has a lot of needs.

I held back K70 for myself that’s going to keep me going. She couldn’t take it but I told her that she’ll need it as much as I do. Finally, she accepted it. And since it was getting late, I left her and came home.

I hope she’s OK a bit and I pray that GOD is going to take care of her and provide for all her needs.
