Her heart shattered into a million pieces, leaving her to pick up the pieces and carry on.
Though she didn't have much experience in the turbulent world of business, she refused to let that stop her.
With her unwavering faith and fierce hunger for success, fueled by her solid corporate background, Edith decided to take a chance and start her own business in Papua New Guinea.
For a woman and mother of six kids, three of whom were adopted, the journey ahead was bound to be tough and filled with stress. But that didn't deter her from pursuing her dreams with all her might.
Back in 2010, while volunteering with a charity organization called SPSA based in Adelaide, Australia, Edith saw a glimmer of potential in the market and what she could offer. She started her business as a side hustle, juggling it with her demanding corporate job.
For over two decades, she worked with some of the leading multinational shipping companies in PNG, such as Swire Shipping and STEAMSHIPS, which operate globally.
And now, she is the proud owner and managing director of her own shipping and logistics business.
"I am re-entering the world of business as a boss of my own business, and that means greater autonomy for me to decide what business I want to engage in and how I want to do it to achieve the best outcome," Edith said, her voice brimming with passion and determination.
