Approved by the Governor of the Bank of Papua New Guinea, the PNG’s latest K100 bill will bear the face of Sir Julius Chan.
This was announced by Prime Minister, James Marape, on Sir Julius’ 80th birthday commemoration at the State Function Room tonight.
Serving two different terms as Prime Minister in parliament, Sir Julius has played a distinctive role in PNG Politics since the start of his career in 1968. This includes the setting up of the Central Bank and bringing the Toea and Kina currency to life in PNG.
